கண்ணனின் மனம் கடினமானதோ?

2634 பிரிந்தொன்றுநோக்காது தம்முடையபின்னே *
திரிந்துழுலும்சிந்தனையார்தம்மை * - புரிந்தொருகால்
ஆவா! எனவிரங்கார் அந்தோ! வலிதேகொல்? *
மாவைபிளந்தார்மனம்.

Simple Translation

2634. My heart leaves me searching for where he is without looking for anything else and it runs behind anything with a dark color. In his heart he does not feel sorry for me. Does he who split open the mouth of the Asuran Kesi when he came as a horse that have such a cruel mind?

பிரிந்து — பெருமானை விட்டுப் பிரிந்து; ஒன்று — வேறொன்றிலும்; நோக்காது — கண் வைக்காமல்; தம்முடைய பின்னே — அவன் கூடவே; திரிந்து உழலும் — திரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும்; சிந்தனையார் தம்மை — என் நெஞ்சை; ஒருகால் — ஒருக்காலும்; புரிந்து — பரிவுடன் கூர்ந்து பார்த்து; ஆ ஆ! என — ஆஹா என்று; இரங்கார் — அன்பு காட்டுவதில்லை; அந்தோ! மா — அந்தோ! கேசி என்னும் குதிரையின்; வாய் — வாயை; பிளந்தார் மனம்? — பிளந்த பெருமானின் நெஞ்சு; வலிதே கொல்? — வன்மையானதோ?

pirindhu — other than self [emperumān]; onṛu nŏkkādhu — not thinking of anything else; thammudaiya pinnĕ — going behind him; thirindhu uzhalum — roaming, and tottering; sindhanaiyār thammai — my mind; oru kāl — even once; purindhu — showering mercy; ā ā [āvā] ena — saying “ŏh my! ḥow sad!”; irangār — he is not showing any consideration; andhŏ — ŏh my!; mā vāy pil̤andhār manam — the mind of emperumān who tore the mouth of demon kĕṣi, who came in the form of a horse; validhĕ kol — how did it become so hardened?
