o Lord of Vithuvakkodu —

driving away the snake kāl̤iyan [from the river yamunā] —

ridding of them —

and it becomes more and more shining and strong —

flourishes more and more —

when leaving from the body (which gives wrong reflections like thinking that there are many moons when looking in mirrors) —

leaving aside the beautiful rabbit —

one who cannot be praised completely —

You created —

will run (towards him), leaving [us] —

driving them far away —

discarding it (after destroying it) —

renouncing the pride —

without —

pushing aside —

giving up —
