one who is our protector at all times —

 saying -you should mercifully grant- —

showering his grace on us —

having the heart with conviction that “it is only emperumān who is everything for us at all times” —

is our refuge for all times —

for us who are sunken in that way, —

cannot be removed here by you or by us; —

to us —

for us —

give You —

if He gives me —

 for us who are unable to bear the separation of your highness —

 would (then) create for us such longing only. —

for us (who are lower than nithya samsāris (eternally bound souls), due to our involvement with ignorance etc since time immemorial) —
