she is not any ordinary person (she is very intelligent) —

going from place to place [one divine abode to another] until ī see his divine form which is like a dark cloud —

taking up the tresses and tying them up (so that they will not be dishevelled) —

one which went near the dark ocean complexioned [emperumān] —

by whom was the hailstorm prevented —

the coveted divine foot, decorated with valorous anklet and making a sound —

worshipping his blackish form, as the reason —

ḥaving the divine mountains (of thirumālirunjŏlai and thiruvĕngadam), which are laden with clouds, as her bosoms —

one with black tresses —

in nearby gardens —

like wind —

she went behind vathsarājan [her beloved] who has huge shoulders with garland decorating them, and who had his legs chained —

that has abundance of bamboos —

who protects brahmā and ṣiva (from huge dangers)? —

 who else is there who could remove this danger?  —

who saved? —

 filled with clouds —

 very huge —

 very black —

 being black (due to their youth) —
