When some recite as em iṛaivar irāmānusan thannai uṝāvar

those who are dedicated only to emperumānār, who are our lords – shall be the meaning.

piṛappup piṇi mūppu iṛappu aṝu

without janma (birth), vyādhi (disease), jarā (old age), maraṇa (death) which are the cause for such gains and lack of them

iṛappu edhir kālam

having the ability of all chĕthanas from past and future

iṛandhadhum nīyĕ edhirndhadhum nīyĕ nigazhvadhu ŏ nī

all entities (individually) from past, future and present are at your disposal

em iṛaiyavan

(such rāmānujar is) our leader and master.

 emakku iṛaivaṛku 

 for our lord

assumed as the master who will fulfil their desires

enṛum iṛavādha endhai

emperumān who does not have an end ever

 and without thinking about death (kaivalyam (eternal self enjoyment) which is considered as death of āthmā)

idamāgak koṇda iṛai

the lord, considering( my heart) as the temple for himself

maṝu ŏr iṛai illai kāṇ

you would see that there is no other protector

iṛakkavum inbu udaiththāmĕlum

even if the immeasurable blissful kaivalya mŏksham (a state in which āthmā enjoys itself) occurs

 irunidhikku iṛaivanum 

 rāvaṇa who is the lord of ṣanka nidhi and padhma nidhi

pŏdhu āna ittu iṛainji ĕththuminŏ

offering anything which goes in the name of flower, bowing down to him and praising him

iṛa ĕṛi

reaching up to (distinguished āthmā)
