  • Verse 1:
    The Supreme Lord, who rests on the serpent bed and holds Lakṣmī (the lotus-born) in His embrace, is the Progenitor of both Brahmā and Śiva. He freely descends among everyone and is the Granter of Mokṣa. He serves as a sure and certain raft to help us navigate and cross the difficult and dreadful ocean of Saṃsāra.
  • Verse 2:
    Contact with my unique Lord, who wears the cool and pleasant tulacī garland and rescued the distressed elephant in the beautiful pond, will help one cross the dreadful ocean of Saṃsāra, which breeds all ills, and attain the blissful SriVaikuntam.
  • Verse 3:
    The Lord is also known as 'Ayaṉ', who emerged from His navel and created the worlds that resided within Him. He is also 'Araṉ', the destroyer. On His beautiful chest rests Tiru (Lakṣmī). His herculean tasks are indeed many.
  • Verse 4:
    Those who want to put an end to the constant play between the senses and sense-objects in order to enter the Eternal Land of perfect bliss would do well to enjoy the auspicious traits of the Lord forever. Reflect on how He tormented and killed the Asuras.
  • Verse 5:
    The Supreme Lord is the causeless cause of the flowing universe, responsible for its creation, sustentation, and destruction. He is the Chief of the Celestials and my Tīrttaṉ (Who sanctified me). He descended as a Horse, Tortoise, Fish, and Man to protect the worlds, one and all.
  • Verse 6:
    Is there any need for others to ponder the glory of Lord Kṛṣṇa, who wears the tulacī garland and is known as Tīrttaṉ (The Immaculate)? Pārttaṉ placed a garland at His lovely feet, which spanned the universe, and later saw it on Śiva's head, gaining clarity of mind in the process.
  • Verse 7:
    Lying, sitting, and standing, measuring the worlds, entering the deep waters and lifting the Earth as a gigantic Boar, holding all the worlds with Him and then spitting them out, embracing Mother Earth on His broad shoulders, who can comprehend His love for Mother Earth?
  • Verse 8:
    Who can truly comprehend Kaṇṇaṉ, my Lord, or grasp His know-how? All the worlds can barely make up a morsel of His food. His abode is SriVaikuntam, and He is the Inner Controller of all. He pervades everything, without exception.
  • Verse 9:
    The son affirmed, "Kaṇṇaṉ is everywhere." Furious, Iraṇiyaṉ shouted back, "What if he's not here?" and struck the pillar hard. At that moment, the Lord appeared and killed the demon. Truly, my Naraciṅka's glory is beyond contemplation.
  • Verse 10:
    I have seen Kaṇṇaṉ, my cloud-hued Lord of unique excellence. He pervades all and is the triple cause of all existence, bringing about the exalted SriVaikuntam, Svarg, and hell, along with their respective denizens, the kind-hearted Devas, and everything else.
  • Verse 11:
    Those who learn these ten songs from the thousand composed in melodious tunes by Caṭakōpaṉ, Chief of Vaḻutināṭu, known for its fertile orchards swarming with cheerful honey bees,. Those who adore the black-hued, large lotus-eyed Lord, will thrive in SriVaikuntam and enjoy supreme bliss.
