எந்தமக்குஉரிமைசெய்யெனத்தரியாது

பெண்டிரும்எய்திநூலிழப்ப *
இந்திரன்சிறுவன் தேர்முன்நின்றானைத்

Simple Translation

1073. When the sons of blind Dhṛtarāṣṭra won at dice, they dragged Draupadī, the Pandavas’ queen, by her adorned dark and sandal-fragrant hair. Duhśāsana, the younger brother, shouted, “You are now our slave!” Unable to bear this, she cried, “O Lord, show mercy and save me!” He, who made the hundred wives lose their sacred threads, who stood as Arjuna’s charioteer in war, That Lord—I saw Him in sacred Thiruvallikkēṇi with my own eyes!
