அயோத்தி மன்னனே! தாலேலோ

725 ஆலினிலைப்பாலகனாய் அன்றுலகமுண்டவனே! *
வாலியைக்கொன்று அரசுஇளையவானரத்துக்களித்தவனே! *
காலின்மணிகரையலைக்கும் கணபுரத்தென்கருமணியே! *
ஆலிநகர்க்கதிபதியே! அயோத்திமனே! தாலேலோ.

725 āliṉ ilaip pālakaṉāy * aṉṟu ulakam uṇṭavaṉe *
vāliyaik kŏṉṟu aracu * il̤aiya vāṉarattukku al̤ittavaṉe **
kāliṉ maṇi karai alaikkum * kaṇapurattu ĕṉ karumaṇiye *
āli nakarkku atipatiye * ayottimaṉe tālelo (7)

Simple Translation

725. You floated on a banyan leaf when you were a baby,. swallowed the earth, killed Vali and gave the kingdom to his younger brother Sugrivan. You are the dark jewel of Kannapuram where the wind makes the waves bring jewels to the banks of the rivers. You are the king of Thiruvāli. You are the king of Ayodhya, thālelo.
