charama parva niṣṭhai

சரம பர்வ நிஷ்டை

Also known as: caramaparvanishthai, charama parva nishtha, caramaparvanishtha, established in final stage

Meaning

One who is firmly established in the final stage of spiritual realisation, taking the Āchārya as the sole and direct means to liberation.

Detailed Explanation

Charama Parva Niṣṭhai — One Established in the Final Stage

A charama parva niṣṭhai is one who has internalised the doctrine of caramaparvam and lives it completely — relying on the Āchārya's grace as the direct and exclusive means to Bhagavān. Such a person has transcended reliance on personal effort and has dissolved personal agency into the Āchārya's will.

In Yathīndra Pravaṇa Prabhāvam, Māmunigaḷ is himself described as the supreme exemplar of charama parva niṣṭhā. His disciples who emulated this disposition — including Kolli Kāvaladāsar and Ponnadikkāl Jīyar — are similarly celebrated as charama parva niṣṭhāis.

The term appears in distinctions between those who have reached the pinnacle of āchārya-devotion and those still on lower rungs of sādhana.
