UVEDAORG is a nonprofit organization registered in the United States and recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). UVEDAORG owns and operates the uveda.org website. Founded in 2023, the organization publishes this site as a work of public education and preservation — it is not a commercial venture.
Our mission is to preserve and propagate the Śrī Vaiṣṇava Sampradāyam by making its primary texts, its commentarial tradition, and its temple heritage freely accessible in a scholarly, well-sourced digital form. We work from the received tradition — the pāsurams of the Āzhvārs, the vyākhyānas of the pūrvāchāryas, and the living heritage of the Divya Deśams — and present it so that a first-time reader and a lifelong student can each find their footing. Sources are attributed throughout, and the material is offered in the languages in which the tradition is actually read and recited.
Nālāyira Divya Prabandham — The Divya Prabandham with pāsuram-level access, presented together with traditional vyākhyāna-based meanings. This includes word-by-word English explanations drawn from Periyavāchān Piḷḷai’s purports.
Āzhvār resources and the guru paramparā — Resources on the twelve Āzhvārs and on the guru paramparā, the lineage of āchāryas through which this tradition has been transmitted.
108 Divya Deśams — Resources for the 108 Divya Deśams, the sacred abodes sanctified by the hymns of the Āzhvārs, covering each temple and its heritage.
Pañcāṅgam — A Śrī Vaiṣṇava calendar with festival detection, along with the Thirunakṣatrams of the Āzhvārs and Āchāryas.
Dictionary — A dictionary of sampradāya terminology, with bilingual, sectioned entries explaining each term.
Search — Advanced and faceted search across the entire corpus, so a reader can find a verse, a term, a temple or a commentary directly.
Guruparamparā Prabhāvam and Āchārya Granthas — Collections of the Guruparamparā Prabhāvam and of Āchārya Granthas, including original Maṇipravāḷam sources.
All content on uveda.org is offered free of charge to the public. The platform is built and maintained by volunteers, whose contributions are acknowledged on our Credits page.
UVEDAORG is also registered with the Oregon Department of Justice (Oregon DOJ registration number: 205818594).
