other than this favour, anything else which pacifies —

essence of that rare (difficult to acquire/learn) vĕdham —

 invincible (by anyone) —

they will not go anywhere near the characteristic of being slack —

one who blesses (that only) —

 kindly accept my service. —

are not favours; —

apart from his grace —

you must bless me by bestowing me with everything, beginning with being qualified —

acknowledging that ī am a suitable candidate for your blessings —

being the one who bestows —

like the great mĕru parvatha (a mountain in the higher worlds) —

like a big mountain —

 not having any kindness towards them (angu) as ḥis nature, such emperumān who is sarvĕṣvaran (lord of all), —

completing that great penance (when asked what benefit she derived) —

other than under (your) kindness —

did she not get your grace! —

to glance at me with comforting eyes —

will grant with his mercy —

(during the time of creation) the rare entity, emperumān, who is lying on water —
