1071. When the cowherds refused Indra’s old ritual and held a lovely feast without his worship,
he sent fierce rains in anger.
As the herds and people trembled, they prayed—“O our Lord! Protect us and our cows from harm!”
He, who raised the vast Govardhana Hill and stopped the storm with His grace,
That Lord—I saw Him in sacred Thiruvallikkēṇi with my own eyes!
