With his heart always immersed in Sriman Nārāyanā – consciousness, Buthathth Āzhvār matures up to comprehend His ceaseless grace. He teaches humanity the essence of true knowledge through his hymns Irandām (2nd) Thiruvandāthi. According to him, the soul should merge with the super soul in divine communion to taste bliss. If we don’t know the Vedās, it doesn’t matter.

பூதத்தாழ்வார், உபய விபூதி நாயகனான ஸ்ரீமந் நாராயணனை தம் பக்தியால் தியானித்து, பக்தி பரவசத்தால் பக்குவம் அடைந்து, உண்மை அறிவை உபதேசிக்கிறார். ஞான ஸ்வரூபமான ஆத்மா, அவனிடம் கொண்ட பக்தியில் உருகி கரைந்து, தான் பகவானுக்கு தாஸபூதன் என்று அறியாமல் போனாலும், அவனை நம் மனதில் ஸ்திரமாக குடியேறும் படி செய்வதே நமக்கு சகல இஷ்டங்களையும் அருளும்.
