one we surrendered unto —

we do not consider that as having any clarity (it is not apt) —

we both [āzhvār and his heart] have that knowledge —

other than whatever has been enjoyed by us (who have surrendered totally to him) —

and asked him to rule until the name of Rama abides —

which we —

the divine name of such nārāyaṇa —

only we (who are blessed by his causeless mercy) know —

that is known to us —

if we went (to ḥim) and give our respects to ḥim —

singing ḥis thousand nāmas (divine names) —

firmly —

the sorrows that we experienced (in this samsāram) are like these. —
