In the preceding song, the Āzhvār requested the Lord to incarnate once more for his sake. In this fifth pāśuram of the chapter, a divine dialogue unfolds between Āzhvār and Emperumān, as beautifully documented in the commentaries of our pūrvācāryas. Sriman Nārāyaṇa, hearing Āzhvār's plea, seems to express His own difficulty, saying, “You implore me, saying, ‘I should definitely come and bless you’; but this is not a simple matter for me. Consider that I
