Let Us Circumambulate the Temple at Mōkūr and Dance in Ecstasy.

மோகூர்க் கோயிலை வலம் செய்து கூத்தாடுவோம்

3787 தொண்டீர்! வம்மின் நம்சுடரொளியொருதனிமுதல்வன் *
அண்டமூவுலகளந்தவன் அணிதிருமோகூர் *
எண்டிசையும்ஈன்கரும்பொடு பெருஞ்செந்நெல்விளைய *
கொண்டகோயிலைவலஞ்செய்து இங்காடுதும்கூத்தே.

Simple Translation

3787. Come, devotees, let us sing and dance as we circumambulate the temple in beautiful Tirumōkūr, surrounded by fertile paddy fields and lush sugarcane crops. Here resides with great delight the peerless Creator, adorned with an exquisite and radiant form, our Lord who spans the vast universe's three worlds.

Explanatory Notes

The Lord at Tirumōkūr having attracted the Āzhvār by revealing His glory, as the first cause of all things and beings, and His exquisite Form, the Āzhvār wants to share this extra-ordinary bliss with those around. He, therefore, invites them all to join him, so that they may all go round the temple at Tirumōkūr, dancing in ecstasy.

Detailed Explanation

In this fifth pāśuram, Śrī Nammāzhvār extends a most compassionate invitation, calling upon all souls to come and surrender unto the sacred precincts of Thirumōgūr, where emperumān, the Supreme Lord, has mercifully arrived and established His divine presence for the redemption of all.
