இருள் பரவிவிட்டதே! யான் என் செய்வேன்?

1689 மாரிமாக்கடல்வளைவணற்கிளையவன் வரைபுரைதிருமார்பில் *
தாரினாசையில்போயினநெஞ்சமும் தாழ்ந்தது ஓர் துணைகாணேன் *
ஊரும்துஞ்சிற்றுஉலகமும் துயின்றது ஒளியவன்விசும்பியங்கும் *
தேரும்போயிற்றுத்திசைகளும்மறைந்தன செய்வதொன்றறியேனே.

Simple Translation

1689. She says, “ My heart, longing for the garland on his divine chest, has gone to him (who is in kannapuram) who is the younger brother of white-colored BalaRāma but has the color of a cloud and the dark ocean. There is no one here to help me now. The village sleeps and the world too. The chariot of the shining sun has disappeared from the sky and there is no light to be seen anywhere in the night. I don’t know what to do. ”
