நிலமகள் கணவனை அழுந்தூரில் கண்டு களித்தேன்

1605 நிலையாளாக என்னையுகந்தானை * நிலமகள்தன்
முலையாள்வித்தகனை முதுநான்மறைவீதிதொறும் *
அலையாரும்கடல்போல்முழங்கும்தென்னழுந்தையில் மன்னிநின்ற *
கலையார்சொற்பொருளைக் கண்டுகொண்டு களித்தேனே.

He, the clever one, the meaning of words, who embraces the breasts of the earth goddess stays in Thennazundai (Thiruvazhundur) where on every street the reciting of the four ancient Vedās is like the roaring sound of the oceans, rolling with waves. He always makes me happy and I saw him in Thiruvazhundai. .
