கடல் கடைந்தவனை நறையூரில் கண்டேன்

அந்நீரைமீனாய் அமைத்தபெருமானை *
தென்னாலிமேய திருமாலைஎம்மானை *

Simple Translation

1519. Our father, Thirumāl, the lord of Thennāli (Thiruvāli) churned the milky ocean, and in ancient times, at the end of the eon, he took the form of a fish and swallowed the ocean. I saw him in Thirunaraiyur surrounded with fields filled with good water.
