அன்னமாகி அறநூல் உரைத்தவனே காப்பான்

1989 முன்னுலகங்களேழும்இருள்மண்டியுண்ண
முதலோடுவீடுமறியாது *
என்னிது? வந்ததென்னஇமையோர்திசைப்ப
எழில்வேதமின்றிமறைய *
பின்னும்வானவர்க்கும்முனிவர்க்கும்நல்கி
இருள்தீர்ந்திவ்வையம்மகிழ *
அன்னமதாயிருந்துஅங்கறநூலுரைத்த
அதுநம்மையாளுமரசே.

mutaloṭu vīṭum aṟiyātu *
ĕṉ itu vantatu? ĕṉṉa imaiyor ticaippa *
ĕzhil vetam iṉṟi maṟaiya **

Simple Translation

1989. The world grew dark at the end of the eon in ancient times. The divine Vedās disappeared and the gods were shocked and did not know where their worlds had gone. He took the form of a swan, removed the darkness of the world and taught the Vedās to the sages and removed the ignorance of the world. The lord always gives his grace to the gods and all others.
