கொண்டல் வண்ணன் கோயில் பிள்ளை

205 கொண்டல்வண்ணா! இங்கேபோதராயே
கோயிற்பிள்ளாய்! இங்கேபோதராயே *
தெண்திரைசூழ்திருப்பேர்க்கிடந்த
திருநாரணா! இங்கேபோதராயே *
உண்டுவந்தேன்அம்மமென்றுசொல்லி
ஓடிஅகம்புகஆய்ச்சிதானும் *
கண்டெதிரேசென்றெடுத்துக்கொள்ளக்
கண்ணபிரான்கற்றகல்விதானே.

Simple Translation

205. Yashodā calls Kannan to come to her : “O you with the dark color of a cloud, come, You are the god of Srirangam, come, you are the Naranan of Thirupper (Koiladi) surrounded by the ocean with clear waves, come. He came running into the house and said, “ Mother, I’ve already eaten. ” Yashodā could not get angry with him. She approached him and embraced him. This is the loving trick Yashodā's dear child has learnt.

கொண்டல் வண்ணா! — மேகம் போன்ற வண்ணனே!; இங்கே போதராயே — இங்கே ஓடி வருவாய்; கோயிற் பிள்ளாய்! — திருவரங்கத்து எம்பெருமானே!; இங்கே போதராயே — இங்கே ஓடிவருவாய்; தெண் திரை — தெள்ளிய அலைகளையுடைய; சூழ் — நீரால் சூழப்பட்ட; திருப்பேர் — திருப்பேர் நகரிலே; கிடந்த — கண் துயிலும்; திருநாரணா! — நாராயணனே!; இங்கே போதராயே — இங்கே ஓடி வருவாயே!; உண்டு வந்தேன் அம்மம் — நான் உணவை உண்டு வந்தேன்; என்று சொல்லி ஓடி — என்று கூறி; அகம் புக — வீட்டிற்குள் நுழைய; ஆய்ச்சிதானும் — தாயான யசோதையும்; கண்டு — கண்ணனைக்கண்டு; எதிரே சென்று — மகிழ்ந்து எதிரே சென்று; எடுத்துக் கொள்ள — எடுத்துக் கொள்ள; கண்ணபிரான் — கண்ணபிரான்; கற்ற — தானாகவே கற்றுக்கொண்ட வித்தை; கல்வி தானே! — கல்விதான் என்ன என்று அகமகிழ்கிறாள்
