he [emperumān] is the controller for both the types of deeds, virtuous and sinful —

should ī say the two luminous objects (moon and sun) —

the four shoulders which are like a huge mountain and which torment me, who is a sinner —

twenty shoulders —

like two bamboo shoots (for shoulder) —

both —

like two of them —

two crescent moons —

moon and sun (benefactors due to providing heat and coolness) —

one having four big mountain-like shoulders —

 to become two pieces —

 two eyes —

 eye-brows which resemble two bows —

these two forms (of ṣankara and nārāyaṇa) —

splitting it into two —
