The Lord, Who holds durbar in spiritual world, seated on His serpent couch, in the grand assembly of the Celestials, has come down to Tirunāvāy and made it His abode with great delight. The Āzhvār longs to behold the Lord in Tirunāvāy, all the time, feasting his eyes on His nectarean charm.
In the preceding pāśuram, Śrī Nammāzhvār expressed his deep anguish. Now, in this fifth verse, his longing intensifies into a poignant question, as highlighted by the revered ācāryas from Nanjīyar to Nampiḷḷai. Āzhvār, overcome with divine love, cries out, "When will I be blessed with the divine vision of the Lord at Thirunāvāy, so that the immense craving of my eyes
