(i) The Āzhvār feels agitated why the Lord, who sheds His grace on all yearning votaries, should withhold it from him alone, in spite of his inordinate longing for incessant communion with Him.

In the preceding pāśuram, Śrī Nammāzhvār called out in desperation for the divine vision of Emperumān. Yet, as the Lord did not appear, the Āzhvār's anguish intensifies profoundly in this verse. He is plunged into great distress, feeling the pain of abandonment and begins to question the very nature of Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, thinking, “Is He not possessed of that glorious
