The Āzhvār is granting the Lord the option either to come down here so that he may behold Him or if, in the light of His grandeur and the pettiness of the supplicant, He doesn’t deign to come, He would do well to take him over to that end (spiritual world). In this seventh pāśuram of the chapter, our glorious Nammāzhvār, overcome with the unbearable pangs of separation from the Lord, presents a divine ultimatum to Śrīman Nārāyaṇa. He ardently implores, "Either Your Grace must condescend to come here and bless this humble servant with Your divine presence, or, if there be some immutable reason for Your non-arrival, You must
