அப்பனே! நின் தாள்களை எனக்கருள்

3571 யானும்நீதானேயாவதோமெய்யே
அருநரகவையும்நீயானால் *
வானுயரின்பமெய்திலென்?
மற்றைநரகமேயெய்திலென்? எனிலும் *
யானும்நீதானாய்த்தெளிதொறும்நன்றும்
அஞ்சுவன் நரகம்நானடைதல் *
வானுயரின்பம்மன்னிவீற்றிருந்தாய்!
அருளுநின்தாள்களையெனக்கே.

Simple Translation

3571. It's true, You are within me as You are within everything else, even this life of hardship I endure belongs to You. Whether You grant me spiritual or worldly bliss or keep me in this distressing life, it matters not. Yet, when I realize my true nature, life here becomes dreadful. Therefore, I beseech You, seated in the blissful SriVaikuntam, to bless me with attainment of Your lovely feet.

Explanatory Notes

To those gifted with the vision of the Lord’s Universal Form (Viśvarūpa), like Prahlāda and Nammāḻvār, it should indeed be possible to perceive the presence of the Lord everywhere, looking upon Hell and spiritual world alike, with perfect mental equanimity.
