திருவாறன்விளையைப் பாடினால் தீவினை கெடும்

3556 மலரடிப்போதுகள்என்னெஞ்சத்தெப்பொழுதும்இருத்தி வணங்க *
பலரடியார்முன்பருளிய பாம்பணையப்பனமர்ந்துறையும் *
மலரின்மணிநெடுமாடங்கள்நீடு மதிள்திருவாறன்விளை *
உலகமலிபுகழ்பாட நம்மேல்வினையொன்றும்நில்லா கெடுமே.

Simple Translation

3556. As soon as we extol the magnificent glory of Tiruvāṟaṉviḷai, where flowers bloom abundantly and lofty castles stand tall, our praises resound far and wide. In this divine abode, the Lord reclines on a serpent-bed, and His beautiful lotus feet are forever etched in my mind. He selected me among many others, showered His grace upon me, and inspired me to worship Him wholeheartedly. Through this devotion, all our sins will surely vanish.

Explanatory Notes

The Āzhvār says, the Lord has shed His special grace on him, even as Śrī Rāma lavished special graces on Hanumān.
