(i) Lord Narayana, on whose navel emerged the lotus flower on which Brahma appeared, carries out the triple functions of creation, sustentation and dissolution, the middle one by Himself and the other two as the Internal Controller of Brahmé. and Siva.
(ii) The Alvér seeks to assuage his mental agony in talking about the Senses and sensuality, by going the whole hog out in the service of the devout, like unto a parched-up soul diving fast into the deep pockets of water.
In this concluding pāśuram of the chapter, our glorious Nammāzhvār reveals the fruit (phalaśruti) of its study and recitation. As elucidated by the great ācāryas such as Nañjīyar, Āzhvār declares that for those who joyfully engage with these verses, all sins will be utterly eliminated. He assures us that practitioners of this sacred chapter will be forever freed
