When Will I Adorn My Head with the Dust of the Lord's Feet?

பிரானின் அடிப்பொடியை நான் சூடுவது என்று?

Simple Translation

3322. Friends, does it make sense to tease me like this? My mind is drawn to the Lord who stays in Tiruvallavāḻ, where the southern breeze carries the sweet fragrance from posh punnai trees. When will we indeed be anointed by the dust from His feet?

Explanatory Notes

(i) The mates who were critical of the Nāyakī’s attitude are reprimanded by her. She says that her mind is attracted by the Lord in Tiruvallavāḻ through the fragrance wafted from there. Having known her as well as they do they would do well to smear her head with the dust from the Lord’s feet instead of trying to pull her back.
