(i) The Āzhvār speaks of the Lord’s adoration, strong and steadfast, of his soul and inordinate love for him. Having made the Āzhvār subsist in the real sense, the Godbound, rejuvenated life of the Āzhvār is as dear to Him as His famous garland ‘Vaijayanti’. And what more? Subsequently, in this fifth pāsuram, Śrī Nammāzhvār declares a profound truth regarding the nature of divine love. For the supremely enjoyable Lord Kṛṣṇa—who is the master, benefactor, and ever approachable—the Āzhvār’s own devotional sentiments, such as his snēham (friendship) and prēma (love), serve as the very ornaments and sacred appendages of Emperumān Himself.
