Simple Translation

Is there any need for others to ponder the glory of Lord Kṛṣṇa, who wears the tulacī garland and is known as Tīrttaṉ (The Immaculate)? Pārttaṉ placed a garland at His lovely feet, which spanned the universe, and later saw it on Śiva's head, gaining clarity of mind in the process.

In the battle against the “Kauravas Arjuṉa needed the weapon known as ‘Pāśupada astra’ which could be had from Śiva after due propitiation.
