இவற்றைப் பாடுக; பழவினையை அகற்ற முடியும்

2081 மின்னுமாமழைதவழும்மேகவண்ணா!
விண்ணவர்தம்பெருமானே! அருளாயென்று *
அன்னமாய்முனிவரோடுஅமரரேத்த
அருமறையைவெளிப்படுத்தஅம்மான்தன்னை *
மன்னுமாமணிமாடமங்கைவேந்தன்
மானவேல்பரகாலன்கலியன்சொன்ன

aṉṉam āy muṉivaroṭu amarar etta *
arumaṟaiyai vĕl̤ippaṭutta ammāṉ-taṉṉai **

Simple Translation

2081. When the gods and the sages praised and worshiped you saying, “You are the god of the gods in the sky. Give us your grace, ” you, our father with the color of a dark cloud shining with lightning, took the form of a swan, brought up the divine Vedās from the bottom of the ocean and taught them to the sages. Kaliyan, with a sharp spear, Yama for his enemies and the chief of Thirumangai filled with palaces studded with precious shining jewels, composed a wonderful garland of ten Tamil pasurams. If devotees learn and recite these pasurams they will not have the results of their karmā.

Detailed Explanation

In this concluding pāsuraṁ, the Āzhvār celebrates the glorious attainment of Emperumān, fulfilling his deepest spiritual yearning. He declares, with profound conviction, that those who master this sacred Divya Prabandham will, by that very act, gain the power to completely and single-handedly eradicate all the sorrows engendered by life in this material world.
