அள்ளல் வாய் — சேற்று நிலங்களில்; அன்னம் இரை — அன்னப் பறவை இரை தேடும்; தேர் அழுந்தூர் — தேர் அழுந்தூரில்; எழும் சுடரை — இருக்கும் ஜோதியை; தென் தில்லை — தென் திசையிலுள்ள; சித்திரகூடத்து — தில்லைத் திருச்சித்திரக்கூடத்தில்; என் செல்வனை — இருக்கும் என் செல்வனை

al̤l̤al vāy — in marshy places; irai thĕr azhundhūr — at thiruvazhundhūr, to seek prey; ezhum sudarai — as an effulgent lamp; then thillaich chiththirakūdaththu en selvanai — the wealthy entity (who has taken residence) at thillai chiththira kūtam, which is in the southern direction
