இறைவன் அருளால் தீவினையை நீக்கினோம்

2610 யானும்என்னெஞ்சும் இசைந்தொழிந்தோம் * வல்வினையைக்
கானும்மலையும் புகக்கடிவான் * - தானோர்
இருளன்னமாமேனி எம்மிறையார்தந்த *
அருளென்னும்தண்டாலடித்து.

Simple Translation

2610. His beautiful body is like dark night. His grace is like a club that can hit and remove my bad karmā. I and my heart decided to cross the forest and the hills of my bad karmā by worshiping him.

ஓர் இருள் தான் அன்ன — இருளே வடிவெடுத்த அழகிய; மா மேனி — திருமேனியுடைய எம்பெருமானுக்கு; யானும் என் நெஞ்சும் — நானும் என் மனமும்; இசைந்து ஒழிந்தோம் — இசைந்து ஆட்பட்டோம்; எம் இறையார் தந்த — எம்பெருமான் அளித்த; அருள் என்னும் — அருள் என்னும்; தண்டால் அடித்து — ஒரு கொம்பால் அடித்து; வல்வினையை — என் கொடிய பாபங்களை; கானும் மலையும் — காடுகளிலும் மலைகளிலும்; புகக் கடிவான் — புகும்படி துரத்தினோம்
