புருடோத்தமன் ஈடிணை அற்றவன்

2608 தானேதனித்தோன்றல் தன்னளப்பொன்றில்லாதான் *
தானேபிறர்கட்கும் தற்றோன்றல் * - தானே
இளைக்கிற்பார்கீழ்மேலாம் மீண்டமைப்பானானால் *
அளக்கிற்பார்பாரின்மேலார்?

2608 tāṉe taṉit toṉṟal * taṉ al̤appu ŏṉṟu illātāṉ *

Simple Translation

2608. He is unique and there is no one equal to him. He is in everything. If he were to grow tired, the whole world would turn upside down, and then who could make this world come back to the way it was?

தானே — தானே ஒப்பற்ற; தனி — தனிப் பெரும் தெய்வம்; தானே — தானே; தன் அளப்பு தோன்றல் — தனக்கு ஒப்பானவன்; ஒன்று — தானே அன்றி வேறு; இல்லாதான் — ஒருவன் இல்லாதவன்; இளைக்கில் — அவன் காக்கும் தொழிலில் களைத்தால்; பார் — உலகம்; கீழ் மேல் ஆம் — தலைகீழாக விபரீதமாய் விடும்; பிறர்கட்கும் — எல்லாப் பொருள்களிலும்; தன் தோன்றல் — அவனே உள் உறைபவன் அந்தராத்மா; தானே மீண்டு — தலைகீழான உலகத்தை மீண்டும்; அமைப்பான் ஆனால் — தானே சரிப்படுத்தப் புகுந்தால்; பாரின் மேல் ஆர் — அவன் வல்லமையை யாரால்; அளக்கிற்பார் ? — அளவிட்டுக் கூறமுடியும்?

thanith thŏnṛal thānĕ — he is the only one who has incomparable incarnations; than al̤appukku — to compare with him; onṛum illādhān thānĕ — he is the only one who does not have any entity; piṛargatkum thaṝŏṇṛal thānĕ — he is the most famous antharyāmi (indwelling soul) for all the others; thānĕ il̤aikkil — if such an emperumān drops down (from protecting); pār kīzh mĕlām — the earth will become topsy turvy and lose its balance; mīṇdu amaippānānāl — if he starts protecting once again; al̤akkiṛpār — one who can estimate (the extensiveness that he has in protecting); pāril mĕl ār — who is there, on the earth?
