1822 வணங்கலிலரக்கன்செருக்களத்தவிய
மணிமுடிஒருபதும்புரள *
அணங்கெழுந்தவன்றன்கவந்தம்நின்றாட
அமர்செய்தஅடிகள்தம்கோயில் *
பிணங்கலில்நெடுவேய்நுதிமுகம்கிழிப்பப்
பிரசம்வந்திழிதர * பெருந்தேன்
மணங்கமழ்சாரல்மாலிருஞ்சோலை
வணங்குதும்வாமடநெஞ்சே!

maṇi muṭi ŏrupatum pural̤a *
aṇaṅku ĕzhuntu avaṉ-taṉ kavantam niṉṟu āṭa *
amarcĕyta aṭikal̤-tam koyil- **

piracam vantu izhitara pĕrun teṉ *

Simple Translation

1822. Our dear god who fought and destroyed the pride of his enemy, the Rakshasā Rāvana, making his ten heads fall to the ground while his headless body stood there and danced stays in the temple in Thirumālirunjolai where the tops of the bamboo plants split open bee hives and the bees fly away and much honey spills out making the slope of the whole hill fragrant. O ignorant heart, come let us go there and worship him.
