புல்லாணி சென்ற என் மனம் என்ன செய்கின்றதோ?

1780 வவ்வித்துழாயதன்மேல் சென்றதனிநெஞ்சம் *
செவ்வியறியாது நிற்குங்கொல்? நித்திலங்கள் *
பவ்வத்திரையுலவு புல்லாணிகைதொழுதேன் *
தெய்வச்சிலையாற்கு என்சிந்தைநோய்செப்புமினே.

Simple Translation

1780. She says, “My lonely heart went everywhere searching for him who is adorned with a thulasi garland. Has it lost its way? I fold my hands and worship him in Thiruppullāni where the waves of the sea crash on the shore. Go and tell him how I suffer with my love for him. Why does he stand silently like a divine statue. ”
