O He Who Built a Bridge with Mountains! Bestow Grace.

மலையதனால் அணைகட்டியவனே! அருள்செய்

1313 கல்லால்கடலை அணைகட்டி உகந்தாய்! *
நல்லார்பலர் வேதியர்மன்னியநாங்கூர்ச் *
செல்வா! * திருவெள்ளக்குளத்துஉறைவானே! *
எல்லாவிடரும் கெடுமாறு அருளாயே.

Simple Translation

1313. You who happily built a bridge of stones to go to Lankā stay in the Thiruvellakkulam temple in Nāngur where many Vediyars, learned in the Vedās live. Give me your grace and take away the troubles of my karmā.

[one who has all the wealth]; ellā idarum — all sins; kedumāṛu — to be destroyed; arul̤āy — you should kindly shower your mercy.

Detailed Explanation

O Lord, You who experienced profound joy upon constructing a mighty bridge across the tumultuous ocean with great stones! O Master, who has chosen to reside eternally in the sacred precinct of tiruvelzhak kulam within tirunāngūr, a place sanctified by the steadfast presence of numerous noble brāhmaṇas whose very nature is rooted in the sublime virtue of compassion!
