மாவலி வேள்வியில் யாசித்தவன் ஊர் இது

1299 மண்ணிடந்துஏனமாகி மாவலிவலிதொலைப்பான் *
விண்ணவர்வேண்டச்சென்று வேள்வியில் குறையிரந்தாய் *
துண்ணெனமாற்றார்தம்மைத் தொலைத்தவர் நாங்கைமேய *
கண்ணனே! காவளந்தண்பாடியாய்! களைகண்நீயே.

Simple Translation

1299. O Kannā, as a boar, you split open the earth and brought the earth goddess from the underworld. You went to the sacrifice of Mahabali as a dwarf to help the gods, asked for three feet of land and measured the earth and the sky. You stay in Kāvalambādi in Nāngai where the warriors living there conquer their enemies easily. Take away our troubles.
