அரங்கன் அடியாருக்கே அன்பு காட்டுவேன்

664 காரினம்புரை மேனிநல்கதிர் முத்தவெண்ணகைச் செய்யவாய் *
ஆரமார்வனரங்கனென்னும் அரும்பெருஞ்சுடரொன்றினை *
சேரும்நெஞ்சினராகிச் சேர்ந்துகசிந்திழிந்தகண்ணீர்களால் *
வாரநிற்பவர்தாளிணைக்கு ஒருவாரமாகுமென்னெஞ்சமே.

664 kār-iṉam purai meṉi naṟkatir mutta * vĕṇṇakaic cĕyya vāy *
āra-mārvaṉ araṅkaṉ ĕṉṉum * arum pĕruñcuṭar ŏṉṟiṉai **

Simple Translation

664. Rangan of Srirangam is dark ,like the rain bearing cloud with a red mouth and teeth like pearls and His chest is decorated with thulasi garlands. My heart loves and praises the feet of the devotees who love Thirumāl and shed tears, melting in their hearts as they worship Him.

கார் இனம் புரை — மேகக் கூட்டங்களை ஒத்த; மேனி — மேனியையும்; நற் கதிர் முத்த — அழகிய முத்துக்கள் போல்; வெண்ணகை — வெண்மையாக புன்னகைக்கும்; செய்ய வாய் — சிவப்பான வாயையும்; ஆர — முத்துமாலை அணிந்த; மார்வன் — மார்பையுமுடைய; அரங்கன் என்னும் — ரங்கநாதனாகிற; அரும் பெருஞ்சுடர் — அரும் பெரும் ஒளி; ஒன்றினை — ஒன்றினை; சேரும் — சேர விழையும்; நெஞ்சினர் ஆகி — மனமுடையவராகி; சேர்ந்து — அங்ஙனமே சேர்ந்து; கசிந்து இழிந்த — பக்தி பரவசத்தாலே கசிந்த; கண்ணீர்களால் — கண்ணீரால்; வார நிற்பவர் — முழுகியபடி நிற்பவர்களின்; தாளிணைக்கு — இரண்டு திருவடிகள்மீது; என் நெஞ்சமே — என் மனமானது; ஒரு வாரம் ஆகும் — ஒப்பற்ற பக்தி கொள்ளும்
