சுகம்வளர அகமகிழுந்தொண்டர்வாழ *

அணியரங்கன்திருமுற்றத்து * அடியார்தங்கள்
இன்பமிகுபெருங்குழுவுகண்டு யானும்

Simple Translation

656. For the betterment of the celestial world, for the well-being of the Gods, for the earth to flourish, for the survival of the people, for the sorrows to disappear and to augment good health and make His devotees live happily, Thirumāl rests in Srirangam facing the South and gives His grace. When will the day come when I join the group of happy devotees and partake the joy of worshipping Him? When will i see Him?

aṇi araṅkaṉ — the Lord of Sri Rangam; pĕru — who is glorious and; vaṉ — is not destroyed even in the great deluge; nokkip pal̤l̤i kŏl̤l̤um — rests; aṉpŏṭu tĕṉ ticai — facing south; vāṉakam uyya — to save the heavens; amarar uyya — to save the gods; maṇ uyya — to save the earth; maṇ ulakil — of this world; maṉicar uyya — to save the humans; tuṉpam miku — that result in great sorrows; tuyar akala — to free from sins; ayarvu ŏṉṟu illā — free from pain; cukam val̤ara — to promote happiness; akam makiḻum — to fill the mind with joy and; tŏṇṭar vāḻa — to promote the life of devotees; ĕṉṟu kŏlo — when will that day come?; nāl̤e! — when I will live; icaintu uṭaṉe — alongside; irukkum — with the devotees; kaṇṭu yāṉum — bowing to them, I too join; iṉpa miku — the blissful; pĕrum kuḻuvu — big gathering; aṭiyār taṅkal̤ — of devotees; tirumuṟṟattu — who stand in the coutyard of His sanctum
