O Creator of Kāla (Time/Death) Himself! Protect Me

காலனையும் படைத்தவனே! என்னைக் காத்திடு

427 பையரவினணைப் பாற்கடலுள்
பள்ளிகொள்கின்றபரமமூர்த்தி! *
உய்யஉலகுபடைக்கவேண்டி
உந்தியில்தோற்றினாய்நான்முகனை *
வையமனிசரைப்பொய்யென்றெண்ணிக்
காலனையும்உடனேபடைத்தாய் *
ஐய! இனிஎன்னைக்காக்கவேண்டும்
அரங்கத்தரவணைப்பள்ளியானே.

Simple Translation

427. You, the highest one of Sri Rangam resting on Adishesha, the snake on the milky ocean, made Nānmuhan on your navel so that he could create all the creatures of the world, and you also made Yama because you thought that the lives of people in this world should not be endless. O dear lord! You should protect me now.

பாற்கடலுள் — பாற்கடலில்; பை அரவின் அணை — படங்களுடைய ஆதிசேஷன் மீது; பள்ளி கொள்கின்ற — சயனித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும்; பரம மூர்த்தி! — எம்பெருமானே!; அரங்கத்து — திருவரங்கத்தில்; அரவணை — ஆதிசேஷன் மீது; பள்ளியானே! — பள்ளிகொண்டிருப்பவனே!; உய்ய — அனைவரும் உய்யும்படி; உலகு — உலகங்களை; படைக்க வேண்டி — படைக்க விரும்பி; நான்முகனை — நான்முகபிரமனை; உந்தியில் — திருநாபிக் கமலத்தில்; தோற்றினாய் — படைத்தவனே!; வைய மனிசரை — பூமியிலுள்ள மனிதர்கள்; பொய் — சாஸ்திரங்கள் பொய்; என்று — என்று எண்ணுவார்களென்று; காலனையும் — யமனையும் கூடவே; படைத்தாய் — படைத்தவனே!; ஐய! இனி என்னை — ஐயனே இனி என்னை; காக்க வேண்டும் — நீதான் காத்தருள வேண்டும்
