குடமாடு கூத்தன்

207 போதர்கண்டாய்இங்கேபோதர்கண்டாய்
போதரேனென்னாதேபோதர்கண்டாய் *
ஏதேனும்சொல்லிஅசலகத்தார்
ஏதேனும்பேசநான்கேட்கமட்டேன் *
கோதுகலமுடைக்குட்டனேயோ!
குன்றெடுத்தாய். குடமாடுகூத்தா! *
வேதப்பொருளே! என்வேங்கடவா!
வித்தகனே! இங்கேபோதராயே.

Simple Translation

207. Yashodā calls Kannan to come to her. “ O my son, come to me. come to me now. Don’t say you won’t come. Come to me. The neighbors keep complaining about you and it’s difficult for me to hear so many complaints. You are a happy little one! You carried Govardhanā mountain and danced the Kudakkuthu dance. You are the meaning of the Vedās and my god of Venkata hills. Come here. ”

கோதுகலம் உடை — குதூகலமளிக்கும் குணமுடைய; குட்டனேயோ! — குழந்தாய் ஓடி வா!; குன்று — கோவர்த்தன மலையை; எடுத்தாய்! — குடையாகத் தூக்கிப்பிடித்தவனே!; குடம் ஆடு கூத்தா! — குடக்கூத்தாடினவனே!; வேதப் பொருளே! — வேதத்தின் பொருளானவனே!; என் வேங்கடவா! — திருவேங்கட மலைமேல் இருப்பவனே!; வித்தகனே! — ஆச்சரிய சக்தியுடையவனே!; இங்கே போதராயே — இங்கே ஓடிவருவாயே!; போதர் கண்டாய் — விரைந்து ஓடி வா கண்ணா; போதரேன் என்னாதே — வரமாட்டேன் என்று சொல்லாமல்; போதர் கண்டாய் — ஓடி வா; ஏதேனும் சொல்லி — நான் எதையாவது சொல்லி; அசலகத்தார் ஏதேனும் பேச — மற்றவர்கள் எதையாவது பேச; நான் கேட்க மாட்டேன் — என்னால் பொறுத்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது; இங்கே போதர் கண்டாய் — அதனால் இங்கே ஓடி வா

kotukalam uṭai — You are the happy; kuṭṭaṉeyo! — little One!; ĕṭuttāy! — You carried; kuṉṟu — the Govardana mountain; kuṭam āṭu kūttā! — You danced the Kudakkuthu dance; vetap pŏrul̤e! — the very essence of vedas; ĕṉ veṅkaṭavā! — the One who resides in Tirumala; vittakaṉe! — the One with immeasurable power; iṅke potarāye — come running to me!; potar kaṇṭāy — hurry come to me, Kanna; potareṉ ĕṉṉāte — dont say You wont come; potar kaṇṭāy — come to me; acalakattār eteṉum peca — when people complain about You; nāṉ keṭka māṭṭeṉ — I will not be able to tolerate; eteṉum cŏlli — and I might reply back; iṅke potar kaṇṭāy — so, please come to me
