Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, who is adorned with boundless fame, once churned the ocean abundant with conches. O gentle clouds that drift around Tiruvēṅkadamalai, the sacred abode where the Supreme Emperumān eternally resides! My humble submission lies at the divine reddish feet of that Emperumān, whose eyes gleam with a celestial crimson hue. This is my earnest prayer:

சங்க மா கடல் கடைந்தான் தண் முகில்காள் வேங்கடத்துச் செங்கண் மால் சேவடிக் கீழ் அடி வீழ்ச்சி விண்ணப்பம் கொங்கை மேல் குங்குமத்தின் குழம்பு அழியப் புகுந்து ஒரு நாள் **தங்கு மேல் என்னாவி தங்கும் என்றும் உரையீரே–**8-7-

சங்கம்–சங்குகளை யுடைத்தாயும் பெருமை வாய்ந்தது மா-பெருமை வாய்ந்ததாயுமான கடல்–கடலை கடைந்தான்–கடைந்தருளின பெருமான் எழுந்தருளி யிருக்கிற வேங்கடத்து–திருமலையில்
