O monsoon clouds, resplendent bearers of divine pearls and gold! Have you any tidings from the Emperumān, whose magnificent form gleams with a bluish hue, and who resides eternally in Thiruvēṅkadam? I find myself besieged by the fierce flames of desire that have infiltrated my being, causing great turmoil. Amidst the stillness of night, I am assailed by the tender breezes, which, far from soothing, only heighten my sorrow.
