செங்கோல்வளைவுவிளைவிக்கும்மால் * திறல்சேரமர்
தங்கோனுடையதங்கோனும்பரெல்லாயவர்க்கும்தங்கோன்
நங்கோனுகக்கும்துழாய் * என்செய்யாது இனி நானிலத்தே?

2502 ĕm kol val̤ai mutalā * kaṇṇaṉ maṇṇum viṇṇum al̤ikkum *
cĕṅkol val̤aivu vil̤aivikkumāl ** tiṟal cer amarar

Simple Translation

2502. She says, “My bangles grow loose because I love the lord the god of the gods and the god of Indra, the king of the gods. His scepter that protects the sky and the earth is bent because he does not want to help me. I worry about the pain that his thulasi garland may give to those who love him like me on this earth”

திறல் சேர் — வலிமை பொருந்திய; அமரர் — தேவர்களுக்கு; தம் கோனுடைய — தலைவனான பிரமனுக்கும்; தம் கோன் — தலைவனானவனும்; உம்பர் எல்லா — பரமபதத்தில் உள்ள எல்லா; எவர்க்கும் — நித்யஸூரிகளுக்கும் தலைவனும்; தம் கோன் — நமக்கும் தலைவனான நம் கோன் நம் பெருமான்; உகக்கும் — விரும்பித் தரித்துள்ள; துழாய் — துளசியானது; கண்ணன் — கண்ணனின்; மண்ணும் — மண்ணுலகத்தையும்; விண்ணும் — விண்ணுலகத்தையும்; அளிக்கும் செங்கோல் — ரக்ஷிக்கும் கட்டளையின்; எம்கோல் — நேர்மைக்கும்; வளை முதலா — வளையல்களையுடைய இவள் நிமித்தமாக; வளைவு — ஒரு வணக்கத்தை; விளைவிக்கும் மால் — விளைவிக்காமல் நிற்கிறது; இனி — இனிமேல்; நானிலத்தே — நால்வகைப்பட்ட பூமியில்; என் செய்யாது — எதைத்தான் செய்யாது?
