2493 பலபலவூழிகளாயிடும் * அன்றியோர்நாழிகையைப்
பலபலகூறிட்டகூறாயிடும் * கண்ணன்விண்ணனையாய்!
பலபலநாளன்பர்கூடிலும்நீங்கிலும்யாம்மெலிதும்
பலபலசூழலுடைத்து * அம்ம! வாழிஇப்பாயிருளே.

Simple Translation

2493. He says, “You are as precious as the sky where Kannan stays. When I am away from you, it seems as if many eons pass, but the time I am with you seems very short. Whether you are with me or away from me, I become weak. This darkness gives me much pain. ”

kaṇṇan — krishṇa’s; viṇṇaṇaiyāy — one who is enjoyable like paramapadham; anbar — the leading man who is affectionate; palapala nāl̤ — many kalpams (kalpam is one day of brahmā, running to millions of years); kūdilum — whether united; ŏr nāzhigaiyai — one nāzhigai (24 minutes); palapala kūṛitta — broken down many times over; kūṛāyidum — will become infinitesimal; anṛi — otherwise; nīngilum — even (if the leading man) separates (for a moment); ŏr nāzhigaiyai — one nāzhigai; palapala kūṛitta kūṛu — an infinitesimal moment by breaking down the nāzhigai; palapala ūzhigal̤āyidum — will become many kalpams; yām — we; palapala — long time; melidhum — are suffering; amma — ŏh mother!; pāy — expansive; i irul̤ — this darkness; palapala — many types; sūzhal — deceitful acts; udaiththu — has; vāzhi — let it live long; (this is termed as nindhāsthuthi — abusing, as if being praising)
