இவ்வுலகம் அச்சுதன் அடியார்களை நிரம்பிக் கொண்டுள்ளது

3252 மேவித்தொழுதுய்ம்மினீர்கள் வேதப்புனிதவிருக்கை *
நாவிற்கொண்டச்சுதன்தன்னை ஞானவிதிபிழையாமே *
பூவிற்புகையும்விளக்கும் சாந்தமும்நீரும்மலிந்து *
மேவித்தொழுமடியாரும் பகவருமிக்கதுலகே.

Simple Translation

3252. Here we have those who serve the Lord with great devotion, offering flowers and incense, chanting sacred Vedic mantras, and deeply contemplating His auspicious traits. Revere them all lovingly, worldlings, and redeem yourselves.

Explanatory Notes

(i) The two types of devotees, referred to here, correspond to Lakṣmaṇa who followed Śrī Rāma into exile and served Him in all ways, and Bharata who was stationed at Nandigrām, in devout contemplation of Śrī Rāma.

(ii) ‘Devotion great’: This refers to the discipline of Bhakti mārga taught by Lord Kṛṣṇa.

In this ninth pāsuram, our revered Āzhvār observes the glorious state of the world and issues a profound exhortation.
