As elucidated by our revered pūrvācāryas, this tenth pāśuram of the chapter emerges from a divine dialogue between Śrīman Nārāyaṇa and Nammāzhvār. After Emperumān had graciously induced a state of repentance in the Āzhvār for his past egoism, as expressed in the preceding verses ("yAnE endhandhE enRu irundhEn"), He questions, "Is there anything more for Me to do?
