We Have Drawn Near to the Holy Feet of the Lord of Vāṭṭāṟu.

வாட்டாற்றான் திருவடிகளை நெருங்கிவிட்டோம்

3843 தலைமேலதாளிணைகள் தாமரைக்கணென்னம்மான் *

Simple Translation

3843. I wear the lovely pair of feet of my lotus-eyed Lord on my head, and He resides forever in my heart. My Lord, who revealed His glory to me, reclines on a serpent-couch amid lofty castles in Tiruvāṭṭāṟu. We attained the valorous feet of the Lord who slew the monstrous elephant.

Explanatory Notes

(i) Once again, the Āzhvār enumerates the favours heaped on him by the benign Lord. Having set His lovely pair of feet on the Āzhvār’s head, the Lord casts on him glances, cool and sweet, from His lotus eyes. And then, He stands firmly in the Āzhvār’s heart, rivetted, as it were. Detailed Explanation

In this sixth pāśuram of the chapter, Śrī Nammāzhvār celebrates with great ecstasy the glorious attainment of the divine feet of emperumān. He proclaims, "We have finally reached the divine feet of the Supreme Lord who is graciously present in thiruvāttāṟu and who, in His infinite mercy, will never let go of me under any circumstance."
